Bale is committed

Shots of Christian Bale have been released this week showing him in a very emaciated state in preparation for his role as Dicky Eklund in "The Fighter" due for release in 2011. The Fighter is a drama about boxer "Irish" Micky Ward's unlikely road to the world light welterweight title. His Rocky-like rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky, a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded in life after nearly being KO'd by drugs and crime.

Bale is known for being a very committed method actor. He slimmed right down for "The Machinist" and beefed right up for "Batman Begins". Check him out here:
